What is Integrative Healthcare?
Our clinic is founded on a practice of integrative medicine. We work in coordination with other healthcare professionals to best serve your needs. Our therapists receive and provide referrals to both medical and other therapists that complement the medical system, and we try to coordinate our efforts to help meet your therapeutic goals.

How long is a treatment?
The treatments are thorough and take between 30 and 90 minutes in a non-rushed environment. On your first visit, you are invited to fill out a questionnaire about your medical history and life situation. With a personal approach, all factors in your health are evaluated, including lifestyle, diet, and stresses as well as specific symptoms.
By integrating many approaches in both traditional and modern ideas, a treatment is created that is tailored to your unique situation. On subsequent visits, the treatments are optimized based on your response to previous sessions and to address any changes that have happened.
How much do treatments cost?
The fee schedules are based on how much time your therapist is with you for a given service, and how many times or how regularly you need treatments. These things become apparent once you see how you respond to treatment. For more affordable general treatments to support health, you can consider getting more affordable acupuncture in a group with our community acupuncture.
How many treatments do I need?
We offer a variety of ways into treatments, depending on your condition, motivation, and budget.
To start out, you can just pay as you go, as you need. Depending on the condition, significant improvement is often seen after just the first one or two sessions. A subsequent course of treatments may be recommended to extend and stabilize the improvement. Chronic conditions may benefit from a longer course or periodic “tune-up” sessions.
Can I receive treatment at the same time I am receiving medications and medical treatment for a given condition?
Yes. Our treatments serve to activate many of the natural and vital physiological processes that contribute to optimal health, and are an excellent complement to conventional medicine. For instance, complementary therapy can often lessen the side-effects of medical procedures, such as in chemotherapy (eg. nausea, poor appetite, anxiety, insomnia), or it may augment a given medication’s effect, such as with anti-hypertension drugs. Recent research usually compares how therapies complement the existing best conventional treatments. Many conventional therapies work significantly better when combined with complementary treatments. This is true for the most common problems such as chronic lower back pain, but also for complex conditions such as sub-fertility, fibromyalgia, IBS or anxiety and depression.
A rational and evidence-based scientific approach is used to guide our team in complementing the conventional medical treatments you already receive. If you desire, we will communicate and cooperate with your practitioners in giving you an optimal and coordinated service.
What is Community or Group Acupuncture?
